SXSW // Hooray for Earth

We were so excited to shoot an interview with Noel Heroux of Hooray for Earth during SXSW. We first met the Massachusetts born musician almost a year ago at a watering hole in the West Village. We were interviewing Heroux about his then latest video for the song “Sails.” Meeting back up at SXSW, the “modest charisma” that won us over the first time was alive and well. We chatted on the roof of the W Austin, taking in the Texas sky over Bloody Marys (it was very early, especially for SXSW standards.) Later that week we caught Hooray for Earth at the Spirit Music Group showcase. Although Heroux now calls NYC home, he repped his home state on stage, wearing a “University of Lowell” t-shirt. That show marked the third time we have seen Hooray for Earth, and we were nothing short of blown away. Hooray for Hooray for Earth indeed!
