The Love Movement // Theophilus London

“It’s all about expression,” Theophilus London explained during our recent LES shop-crawl. We were looking for style tips and maybe a few secrets to his irrepressible swagger as the rapper-turned-crooner took us to Moscot to check out the vintage specs and local milliner Still Life, where owner Frenel Morris let us try on the one-of-a-kind lids.

While fans have been following his mixtapes, digging on leaks and the recent Lovers Holiday EP as morsels appear on the web (ANG is partial to “Pull My Heart Away,” while FAT’s been feeling “Century Girl”) the proof will be in his major label debut, Timez Are Weird These Days, due July 19 from Warner Bros. Until then, he’ll be the tall drink of water dancing in the streets, or rocking the crowd (soon to be stadium, we’d wager).

Lothario in penny loafers, mixtape maverick, man of many guises… Any way you slice it, he’s a charmer, that Theophilus London.
