Real Estate’s first self-titled album, released in 2009, is still one of our favorite records from the past few years, so naturally we couldn’t wait for the band’s sophomore effort that was set to be released on Domino Records. When a band’s debut album is so beloved, the lead-up to their second release is always a bit nerve racking — for the band and their fans. Luckily, two weeks removed from the October 18 release of their second album, Days, we can confidently say we are still hooked. Originally from New Jersey (now repping Brooklyn) Real Estate provides the perfect soundtrack for New Yorkers to detach from the daily grind, blanketing listeners in soft tunes like “It’s Real.”
The video for “It’s Real” also gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling, but perhaps for more obvious reasons — dogs. Really cute dogs. The video begins with the band as they kick back with their favorite four-legged friend… and ends with the band playing music for an unusually cute audience.
REAL ESTATE HIT UP SALT LAKE CITY TONIGHT AND BOISE TOMORROW. THE BOYS WILL PLAY BOWERY BALLROOM ON NOVEMBER 23 BEFORE HEADING OUT ON A EUROPEAN WINTER TOUR.
